First Grade:
This week the first graders spent most of the week working on their musical performance.
Third Grade:
This week was difficult to schedule due to the weather. We spent a few days this week signing up for the Governor's Fitness Challenge. Students went onto the web site (www.calgovcouncil.org) and signed up to enter their own personal data. The students used an email address (their school one if they didn't have another one) to sign up. The students were then instructed to start logging their fitness times (30+ minutes of activity a day) on their own. The students will use their email address and password to access the web site.
Fifth Grade:

Sixth Grade:
This week was difficult to schedule due to the weather. We ended up starting our lessons on the Super Size Me DVD. The students watched part one where they were asked to take a pre-test. They will take the same test (on the DVD) at the end to determine if they learned anything. The students watched the first part of the DVD where Morgan Spurlock goes to the doctor and explains why he wants to participate in this experiment. We also spent part of class making predictions for what will happen to Morgan by the end of the 30 days that he only eats at McDonalds.
NEXT WEEK:
Our goal is to start quarter three by heading outside and working on gymnastics and tumbling skills but the forecast predicts more rain.
