We are pleased to announce that San Jose Edison Academy has been entered into a fitness challenge that is hosted by the state of California. Our kindergarten to fifth grade students have been entered as a school into the elementary challenge and the sixth graders through eighth graders have been entered into the middle school challenge.
The challenge is to get kids moving in physical activities. The challenge requires the students to track their fitness and physical activities for the month of January. If our school is able to have the highest percentage of participants of the schools entered in the challenge we will be in the running to receive a $100,000 award for a fitness lab.
So, please grab the kids and head outside. Practice any physical activity and it will help SJEAs chances at winning a fitness lab. Don't forget to track and record that type of activities and the amount of time you are participating in each activity.
GOOD LUCK AND GET MOVING!
